$18 Million Landis Square Senior Complex Gets Underway

The $18 million Landis Square development project at the corner of Landis and East avenues in Vineland has spanned nine years and three city government administrations.

The project finally got its ceremonial groundbreaking Monday. Actual construction will begin in about two years. The work is expected to be finished about a year later.

Landis East will have 71 units of what developers are calling “luxury living” for senior citizens. Two of those units are reserved for senior citizens with special needs. Rents for the one- and two-bedroom units will run from $600 to $700 a month.

The project also contains a retail component that will front Landis Avenue, and it will have a community room for residents.
