$63M business hall opens @ Rowan

As the ceremonial ribbon hits the lobby floor at Business Hall today in Glassboro, Rowan University will have the capacity to educate twice as many students studying business.

The $63.2 million building will house the Rohrer College of Business, the Center for Professional Development, and Hatch House, a business accelerator promoting entrepreneurship for all Rowan students.

University officials tout the expansion of business programs and the doubling of enrollment to 2,000 students in the college.

The 98,000-square-foot building includes 14 classrooms, seven conference rooms, 10 specialty areas, 15 administrative offices, and 70 faculty offices. A first-floor trading room is equipped with dozens of Bloomberg trading terminals. The roof is covered in plants, an rain water runoff solution, according to Steve Kozachyn, a professor and the university’s director of external affairs who served on Business Hall’s building committee.
