Jay Jones joined the South Jersey Port Corporation in 1991 and is currently the Deputy Executive Director – Administrative Services. He also serves the Port Corporation as the Facility Security Officer, Public Information Officer, Ethics Liaison Officer, FTZ Manager, and was appointed as the Board Secretary in 2011. He also manages the Port Corporation’s information systems and corporate communications. He is a graduate of Wesley College and the Rutgers Camden South Jersey Regional Leadership Institute program. He is a certified Facility Security Officer through Hudson Trident. Jay serves the Board Secretary for the Home Port Alliance for the USS New Jersey. He is a member of the U.S. Coast Guard’s Sector Delaware Bay Area Maritime Security Committee, and the American Association of Port Authorities Public Relations Committee. He has served as a member of the Environmental Commission, Green Committee and the Zoning Board in Haddon Heights, NJ before moving to Cherry Hill in 2010 where he resides with his wife, Jennifer, and his daughters, Skye and Sage. He serves on the Cherry Hill Environmental Board and is the volunteer Cherry Hill Trail Crew manager. He is certified National Mountain Bike Patrol instructor through the International Mountain Bicycling Association and a vice president and chapter leader for the Jersey Off Road Bicycle Association. He is a member of the Sustainable Cherry Hill’s Way To Go Task Force (Alternative Transportation) and a member of the Cherry Hill Township Green Team.
