Pacific Avenue in Wildwood was once dubbed the “Block that Rocks,” and now it’s rolling in all the right directions.
“Pacific Avenue has always been known for its nightclubs and live music so we thought no better space than to have that feeling, that excitement come back again than right here,” said John Donio, president of Wildwood Business Improvement District.
The Wildwood Business Improvement District, the Cape May County Freeholders, Crest Savings Bank, The Byrne Fund and the city of Wildwood are coming together to do just that with the creation of Byrne Plaza.
The 60,000-square foot piece of land will feature the iconic Wildwood beach balls and an amphitheater.
The space on Pacific Avenue between Cedar and Oak avenues is just blocks away from the Wildwood Boardwalk and right across the street from some established businesses. Free events that the nonprofit, along with its partners, plan to hold year-round to keep this block rocking through all the seasons.
