It won’t be your typical medical office building. A 60,000-square-foot-building going up on Route 72 in Stafford, next to Walmart, will be home to AtlantiCare Health Park, Manahawkin Campus.
In 2015, AtlantiCare, which also operates AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Galloway and is part of the Geisinger Health System, purchased the former Pathmark and a building across the parking lot.
A grand opening is scheduled for June 28. Once completed, the $30 million project will have doctors’ offices and services capable of offering coordinated, outpatient care. It will include offices for AtlantiCare Physician Group’s primary care, obstetrics and gynecology, cardiology, general surgery and bariatric surgery practices, and a clinical laboratory. There also will be Rothman Institute Orthopaedics and Atlantic Medical Imaging.
