Chase Bank coming to Crossroads Center in Toms River

Chase Bank is coming to Route 37 in Toms River. Township planners recently gave approval for the construction of a 3,470-square-foot Chase branch at Crossroads Center, the shopping center at the intersection of Routes 37 and 166. Chase has eight other branches in Ocean County, including one on Main Street in Toms River.

An opening date has not been set. The bank is in the midst of complying with Planning Board conditions before the township can issue a building permit.

Chase is the latest tenant to come to Crossroads, a mall that has transformed the major intersection. Previously, it was the site of the old Dover Mall, a center that was struggling until developer Dan-D Inc. envisioned Crossroads in 2002, knocked it down and created it from scratch.

ShopRite opened in 2011, joining Staples and Spirits Unlimted. Smashburger, Panera Bread and Buffalo WIld Wings opened in 2014.

To date, Ocean County has completed the first six phases of the trail.
