Comcast is now offering small- and medium-sized businesses a video surveillance service.
The new service, SmartOffice, records and stores high-definition video 24 hours a day and allows business owners to retrieve and share the footage and even view it live from a smartphone or mobile device.
SmartOffice is available in select markets for now, but will be rolled out to all markets soon, Comcast said. The service includes a 720p high-def camera with zoom, wide view and night vision capabilities, 30 days of video storage that can be accessed by up to four registered users, live or recorded access on mobile devices and expansion capabilities to add more cameras. Comcast will also work with business owners to determine the best location for cameras.
