Cumberland County Improvement Authority Hosts Annual County Address

The Cumberland County Improvement Authority hosted their annual state of the county address on Tuesday.

Government officials, business owners, residents, and more gathered at Cumberland County College to discuss the improvements being made in their area.

Nine capital infrastructure projects have been completed in the last three years and for every dollar the CCIA invested in these projects, an estimated four dollars will return to the county.

“We’re bringing partners in,” said Freeholder Director Joe Derella. “It’s amazing, I look around the room, there seems to be a lot more faces of new people that want to get involved with the energy that’s being created right now with all the partnerships that we have throughout Cumberland County.”

“We hope that people walk away with the ‘Cumberland YES’ mentality…yes, we can do it,” said Jerry Velazquez President and CEO of the Cumberland County Improvement Authority. “If you want to be here and you want to prosper, then Cumberland County’s the place to be.”
