Cumberland improvement authority spent $109M on these 9 projects

The Cumberland County Improvement Authority released the findings of an economic study it conducted of nine completed projects at a total cost of $109 million.

The projects included the building of the Cumberland County Technical Education Center, the East Point Light House Restoration and a solid waste treatment plant.

“When the Improvement Authority became responsible for economic development, we knew that we had to focus on bringing growth and expansion to the area to ensure more employment opportunities and business tax-contributors,” said Cumberland County Improvement Authority President and CEO Gerard Velazquez.
