Developers close to construction on 72-unit affordable housing complex in Westampton

Developers are getting ready to construct 72-unit affordable apartments across the street from another complex for low-and moderate-income renters.

The Willows at Westampton, proposed on Woodlane Road, consists entirely of low- and moderate-income, one- to two-bedroom units in six three-story buildings. Rent will range from $300 to $1,200 a month.

It will be directly across from Freedom Village, another 72-unit complex that also offers exclusively affordable housing. Its mission is to provide accessible housing for residents with disabilities.

Ingerman Development Group, of Collingswood, is hopeful that work will begin in the next 60 days, said Aaron Waltzer, a development associate with the firm.
