First Day Walk at Parvin State Park set for New Year’s Day

The Parvin State Appreciation Committee has announced the Second Annual First Day Walk at the park in Pittsgrove Township will begin New Year’s Day promptly at 1 p.m.

The committee says this is a fabulous way to start the new year where you can get exercise, enjoy the scenery and learn some of the fascinating history of Parvin State Park.

Those taking part in the walk should meet at Parvin Grove and will then hike to Fisherman’s Landing during which time guides will take a look back to the early 1920’s in this area.

This is an excellent time to gather your family and friends to get a jump on your New Year’s resolutions for 2018, according to the committee. The event is free. Parvin State Park is located on Almond Road in Pittsgrove Township.
