Hungry? 25 food trucks coming to Pitman this weekend

If you come to Pitman this weekend, you can “travel the world,” or so Pitman Police Chief Dan McAteer says.

That’s to say you can taste different cuisines from all over the world, when the town hosts its 2nd annual food truck festival on Saturday to benefit the police department’s K-9 unit and Ranger, its fierce Belgian Malinois.

The festival on Broadway, the town’s main drag, will host 25 trucks offering fare ranging from burgers to gumbo and even lobster rolls.

The town’s local eateries will also be selling food outside, he said. There will be a seating area in Ballard Park. Some of the trucks slated to be at the event include: The Chilly Banana – serving fruit-based frozen treats, Wahlburgers – burger chain founded by Mark Wahlberg’s brother, Paul Luke’s Lobster, Bro-ritos & The Cow and the Curd.
