New Welcome Center Opened at Rutgers University-Camden

Rutgers University-Camden opened up a new Welcome Center for prospective students on Monday, June 19th.

The University held a ribbon-cutting to officially open the new Welcome Center on Cooper Street in Camden.

The center was built in hopes of providing a one stop shop for the schools growing campus to find all the information and guide students and parents need for a successful college experience.

“For parents and for perspective students to come be able to drop off documents, to get additional information about all of the majors that we have offered here, degrees, and just be able to come to one place, talk to financial aid, talk to admission counselors, and be able to get all questions that they had answered in one convenient spot,” says Craig Westman, Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management.

The center will include an art gallery with pieces from a Rutgers graduate and artifacts that were unearthed during construction to give visitors a look into Camden’s historic past.
