Rebirth of East and Landis avenues intersection in Vineland continues

As the redevelopment of the critical East and Landis avenues intersection continues, the first residents of the $17.9 million Landis Square East apartments are preparing to move into the senior development.

Situated at the southeast corner of the intersection, the project has 75 units of housing as well as 9,000 square feet of retail, said Sandy Forosisky, Director of Economic Development for Vineland.

For the past two decades, city officials have debated what to do with the intersection, commonly known as Four Corners. Before the redevelopment efforts started, motorists were greeted by rundown buildings when they entered the city at the intersection. But with the opening of the new senior housing complex and the redevelopment of the Landis Theater, the gateway to the city is slowly undergoing a rebirth. Landis Square East is one of the Four Corners redevelopment plans undertaken by the City of Vineland and Eastern Pacific Development.
