Thunderbirds returning to Atlantic City Airshow this year

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, whose precision maneuvers include high-speed passes and arrowhead loops, will return for the 15th annual Atlantic City Airshow this summer, organizers announced Monday.

The Aug. 23 airshow will feature the Thunderbirds for the second consecutive year to headline the Wednesday event, according to a statement from Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.

The Thunderbirds will be accompanied by the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, the GEICO Skytypers, Jim Beasley Jr.’s P51D Mustang demonstration and a U.S. Navy F18 Super Hornet. Most of the performers will take off and land at Atlantic City International Airport, which serves as the host airport for the airshow.
