A crowd of business, education, and government leaders gathered at Tavistock Country Club for the next installment of the Public Policy Speaker Series featuring Congressman Andy Kim. Attendees included professionals committed to the economic growth of the South Jersey region who were keen to learn more about governmental policy and projects to help support development and investment within the area.
Marlene Asselta, President of the SNJDC, welcomed the attendees and recognized the event sponsors and elected officials in attendance before turning things over to Aaron Chang, President at Jefferson Health - East, and Title Sponsor of the event.
Aaron gave an update on Jefferson Health's development within the region, before introducing Congressman Kim. The Congressman's keynote address included remarks on current state of American politics, the importance of coalition building, legislation such as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Act and the CHIPS and Science Act which improve American resiliency and competitiveness abroad, and maintaining a balance between global military and economic security. Following the Congressman's address was a brief Q&A, before Marlene closed out the event.
