On Tuesday, February 25th, the Southern New Jersey Development Council (SNJDC) proudly hosted the legislators of Districts 7 & 8 at the DoubleTree Suites in Mount Laurel, NJ.
In attendance was Assembly Majority Whip Carol Murphy (D-7), Senator Latham Tiver (R-8), Assemblywoman Andrea Katz (D-8) and Assemblyman Michael Torrissi, Jr (R-8). The program was moderated by Battleship New Jersey's CEO, Marshall Spevak, who also serves as the Co-Chair for the SNJDC Government Affairs Committee.
The legislators were given individual time at the podium to discuss their policy priorities for 2025. Ahead of the NJ Budget Address today, both districts displayed a united front on their ultimate mission: support South Jersey in a positive trajectory forward.
A few of the topics the legislators discussed included: State Budget; Healthcare; Affordable Housing; Transportation; Economic Development; and Workforce Development.
