Dr. Anthony DiFabio’s vision for innovative care and strategic development has elevated him as a leader within health and social services. As President & CEO of Acenda, Dr. DiFabio is leading a workforce of nearly 1,000 staff who provide over 100 life-enhancing programs and services to our New Jersey community members. Implementing efficient yet compassionate care models across Acenda’s services, Dr. DiFabio is defining the next generation of comprehensive community health care.

Respected as a prominent voice within population health, Dr. DiFabio serves as a leader on a number of boards, including the Children’s Home Society of America, New Jersey Association of Mental Health and Addiction Agencies (Immediate Past Chair), South Jersey Federal Credit Union (Chair), and the New Jersey Alliance for Children, Youth and Families. In addition, he is Vice Chair of the Harrison Joint Land Use Board, Executive Board member of Chamber of Commerce Southern New Jersey, Board member of Southern New Jersey Development Council, and sits on numerous county and regional committees. At the national level, Dr. DiFabio is an active member of Mental Health Corporations of America, OPEN MINDS and the Child Welfare League of America.

Dr. DiFabio has been the recipient of a number of awards and recognitions including the Philadelphia Business Journal’s “40 under 40”, South Jersey Business Magazine “20 Under 40”, and South Jersey Young Professional’s Association’s “Angel” awards. In 2017, 2018 and 2019, South Jersey Biz Magazine included Dr. DiFabio in their Power 50 list which recognizes the most influential people in business. He was also recognized by SNJ Business People as the region’s “Top NPO Leader” in 2017. Dr. DiFabio has previously been acknowledged by South Jersey Business Magazine as one of their “Executives of the Year” and by South Jersey Magazine as one of their “Men of the Year.”

Dr. DiFabio received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Loyola College of Maryland, Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Farleigh Dickinson University, and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Vanderbilt University. He is married to Dr. Alicia DiFabio and is the father of four beautiful daughters.
