The food supplier Aramark will become the next concessionaire at the North Cape May terminal of the Cape May-Lewes Ferry.
The Delaware River and Bay Authority has authorized a 10-year lease with Aramark Sports and Entertainment LLC for about 11,750 square feet of space in the terminal building and about 15,550 square feet of contiguous patio space, and for periodic exclusive access to the contiguous green.
The resolution, adopted by the authority’s board of commissioners on Dec. 19, further says that Aramark will undertake at least $500,000 of capital improvements over the term of the lease. The lease may be extended upon mutual agreement of the two parties.
