Mullica Hill age-restricted community up for planning approval for first phase

Construction could start this fall in Mullica Hill on a new age-restricted housing community, with officials anticipating immediate benefits for the downtown historic district and relief for homebuyers.

Medford-based builder Bob Meyer earlier this year got preliminary approval for 190 houses in total, in two types and in two or more phases. Phase one of “Orchard View at Mullica Hill” would be 66 single-family detached units, and that section is before township planners on Thursday for final review and approval.

The roughly 57-acre site, largely created from two farm parcels, is immediately behind North Main Street and between Woodland Avenue and Swedesboro Road. Harrison presently only has one age-restricted community, also in Mullica Hill.
