A proposed $830 million development will bring more than office towers and a hotel to the city’s Waterfront.
A master plan approved by a state agency Friday notes the project calls for a downtown shuttle bus, major changes to the street system and the creation of a riverfront park.
The developer, Liberty Property Trust, even is planning a second stop for ferry service between the Waterfront and downtown Philadelphia.
The sweeping changes are detailed in a 2016 master plan approved Friday by the board of the state Economic Development Authority.
Indeed, the master plan reflects a sharp change in the focus for growth on the Waterfront.
It notes Liberty Property expects to build almost 1.5 million square feet of commercial space and just 211 residences on a 26-acre tract.
