Battleship New Jersey to be dry-docked for first time in decades. How to witness history.

Preparations to dry dock the Battleship New Jersey for the first time in over 30 years are underway, with crews gearing up for its historic move south in the Delaware River next month.

The more than 80-year-old battleship located on the Camden waterfront is the most decorated U.S. Navy ship in American history for its role during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

On March 21, the public can witness as it gets towed from the waterfront to the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard for a dry dock maintenance project that should last about two months. Gates will open at 10 a.m. on 100 Clifton St. in Camden, officials said.
