In Collingswood, remaking main street as alternative to the mall

B2B or not B2B? That is the question among Collingswood retail business owners as they come up with creative ideas to draw customers and increase sales. The restaurant boom has helped reinvent the tiny borough’s downtown, but what are store owners doing to make sure they stay in business? Cross-promoting and collaborating, among other things.

 In today’s high-tech, impersonal world, making a connection with customers is key, according to Marisa Miloszewski, an instructor of public relations at Rowan’s College of Communications and Arts. “There’s been a big push by businesses to get that human connection with their brand. A lot of research shows that consumers gravitate to brands that are more human.”
