Barnes & Noble Collegiate Superstore is open for business on Rowan Boulevard, the first major retailer on Glassboro’s $300 million downtown revitalization project.
Christened Barnes & Noble at Rowan University, the 36,000-square-foot store is the largest collegiate superstore operated by Barnes & Noble in New Jersey, and offers 75,000 titles, a Rowan University textbook section, a Varsity Spirit Shop with school clothing and gifts, a cafe serving Starbucks products and a gathering space where literary events will be hosted throughout the year.
Designed to reflect the university and Glassboro’s academic, cultural and historical presence, the store is decorated with custom murals of photographs donated by Glassboro resident Marilyn Plaskett.
