A crowd of business, education, and government leaders gathered in the Rohrer College of Business Hall at Rowan University for the next installment of the Public Policy Speaker Series featuring Congressman Donald Norcross. Attendees included professionals committed to the economic growth of the South Jersey region who were keen to learn more about governmental policy and upcoming projects to help support development and investment within the area.
Marlene Asselta, President of the SNJDC, welcomed the attendees and recognized the event sponsors and elected officials in attendance before turning things over to Dr. Helene Burns, Senior Vice President & Chief Nursing Officer at Jefferson Health, and Title Sponsor of the event.
Dr. Burns gave an update on Jefferson Health’s development plans within the region, before introducing Congressman Norcross. The Congressman’s keynote address included remarks on infrastructure plans and updates, New Jersey’s Hydrogen Hub, a diverse approach towards workforce development, and his many policy priorities that impact the South Jersey region. Following the Congressman, President of Rowan University Dr. Ali Houshmand provided attendees with an update on Rowan’s development plans
