South Jersey towns mark St. Patrick’s Day Saturday

Towns across South Jersey are preparing for St. Patrick’s Day parades and celebrations.

The Atlantic City St. Patrick’s Day Parade is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m Saturday. The Boardwalk route starts just north of Garden Pier and ends at Albany Avenue, according to the parade website.

The 30th annual parade will have P.J. McGettigan and Thomas McMeekin Sr. as the grand marshals.

North Wildwood’s parade and celebration will kick off 11:30 a.m Saturday on the front steps of City Hall. The annual event begins at noon and follows a path north on Atlantic Avenue to Olde New Jersey Avenue, according to a press release.

In Sea Isle City, St. Patrick’s Day festivities- including a celebration and parade – begin 2 p.m. Saturday, with a “Best Dressed” competition hosted by Mayor Leonard Desiderio inside Kix-McNutley’s on 63rd Street, according to a news release.
